Scott Burden, a Michigan native, began their journey into higher education as an undergraduate student at Calvin University. Embracing various leadership roles and their queer identity, Scott pursued further education at Grand Valley State University, where they completed a Master's in College Student Affairs Leadership. During their studies, they served as a graduate assistant at the university's LGBT Resource Center for two years.
Currently, Scott is the Director of the Pride Center at Lehigh University and is also pursuing a PhD in Teaching, Learning, and Technology at Lehigh. They are deeply committed to student support, aiming to empower students to live authentically in all aspects of their lives. Additionally, they are passionate about educating students, faculty, and staff on intersectional social justice and queer politics. In their spare time, Scott enjoys reading and spending time with their husband and their child, Reese June.
