A Jersey girl at heart ( what exit? 14a Bayonne), Mel brings her love to the Pride Center. She names active allyship for all bodies and sexualities as most important in her life. Mel especially focuses her efforts on catholic faith based ministry to the queer community and founded a Lehigh Valley catholic LGBTQ support group called You Are Mine. She also co-founded and co-facilitates a queer spirituality support space called BREATHE, out of the Bradbury Sullivan LGBT Center in Allentown, PA. She is a firm believer in the interconnectivity of all life beings and the loving responsibility of each of us to step up and speak up. You can expect to see Mel and her sweet therapy husky Gracie around campus this semester.
