Who Are We

Established at Lehigh University in 1991, the Gender, Leadership, and Empowerment Center (GLE) continues to offer students, faculty, and staff opportunities for Research, Advocacy, and Activism around gender-related topics. We provide workshops, consultations (pedagogy, departmental processes), and events throughout the year. Everyone is welcome to drop in to join an informal conversation, request feedback about systems and procedures, or attend an event. Contact Dr. Rita Jones (rmj207@lehigh.edu) to schedule a consultation about pedagogy or a workshop for your team.

We always welcome graduate and undergraduate students interested in joining our Equity Reps, who receive ongoing training and a custom curriculum that focus on transferable skills. Equity Reps often take the lead in developing, implementing, and assessing our events and projects. Simply reach out to Dr. Carly Dickerson (cad623@lehigh.edu) to schedule an appointment. Mission

To create a gender equitable campus by exposing and eliminating barriers based on sex/gender and provide staff, students, and faculty the resources necessary to create inclusive excellence wherever they may be.
