ONLINE DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION TRAINING

Introducing the engaging and interactive EVERFI Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion online training course, brought to you by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Health Advancement and Prevention Strategies office! IN-PERSON PRESENTATIONS

We'd be thrilled to deliver an engaging in-person diversity presentation for you! Kindly give us at least a 2-week notice so that we can prepare. While we've covered numerous topics in the past, some examples listed below, our range isn't limited to those alone.

  • Unconscious Bias Awareness: This topic explores the concept of unconscious bias and how it impacts decision-making processes, hiring practices, and workplace interactions. It helps employees recognize their own biases and develop strategies to mitigate their influence. 
  • Cultural Competence: Cultural competence training focuses on developing an understanding and appreciation for different cultures, customs, and traditions. It helps employees navigate cross-cultural interactions respectfully and effectively.  
  • Microaggressions: Microaggressions are subtle forms of discrimination or bias that can have a significant impact on individuals from marginalized groups. Training on microaggressions helps employees recognize these behaviors and provides strategies to address them effectively. 
  • Stereotype Awareness: This topic focuses on raising awareness about stereotypes and their impact on individuals and the workplace. It helps employees recognize common stereotypes and understand how they can lead to bias and unfair treatment. 
  • Intersectionality: Intersectionality training explores the interconnected nature of different aspects of an individual's identity, such as race, gender, sexuality, and disability. It helps employees understand how multiple forms of discrimination can intersect and impact individuals' experiences. 
  • Creating Inclusive Teams: This training focuses on building diverse and inclusive teams by addressing biases in recruitment, selection processes, and team dynamics. It emphasizes the benefits of diverse perspectives and provides strategies for fostering collaboration and inclusion.
