Virtual Zine Workshop | 2020 Virtual Family Week

Join the Center for Gender Equity (CGE), the Lehigh Libraries (LTS), and the Lehigh University Art Galleries (LUAG) for a fun hands-on workshop. You will learn about the history of zine publishing for activism - including the Riot Grrrl movement and contemporary zine culture - learn to fold a mini-zine using one sheet of paper and gather some creative prompts that will help you complete your own zine. We will also gather inspiration from the history of activism in visual culture found within the LUAG collection and in the current exhibition Doing Democracy: Photography from the George Stephanopoulos Collection. This workshop is open to all ages, requires no prior knowledge, and includes great resources for both personal learning and teaching. Register in advance and we will send you a suggested supply list and downloadable templates prior to the event. This event is part of the 2020 Founder's Celebration and Family Week.
