PowerPlay: Bystander Intervention Workshops for Faculty and Staff | Human Resources
We are excited to welcome Dr. Stephanie Goodwin and the University of New Hampshire’s PowerPlay team back to Lehigh for PowerPlay: Bystander Intervention workshops. These facilitated, interactive workshops utilize live actors to allow participants to identify incidents of bias and then build the ability to address these issues in a positive and constructive way.
Workshop participants get to play director and experimenter from the comfort of their chairs! Interaction involves witnessing brief moments of bias and experimenting with different strategies, from the perspective of the bystander, by suggesting intervention tactics to actors who then replay the scene. The actor-improvisers can also take “requests” on the spot and examine incidents that are suggested from the audience.
PowerPlay: Bystander Intervention is part of our Cornerstones of Community programming.
Registration is required. Please register by Friday, February 14th

Restorative Yoga at Taylor Gym
Join Pride Center Director Chelsea Elizabeth Gilbert for restorative yoga, select Wednesdays this spring in the Taylor Gym Meditation Room (room 360), 12:10-12:50pm. Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During the long holds of restorative yoga, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It's a unique feeling because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body.
