Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Maternal-Fetal Health (5x10)
According to Healthy People 2020, a health disparity can be described as “a particular type of health difference that is closely linked with social, economic, and/or environmental disadvantage.”1 Did you know that Black women are 3 times more likely than white women to die from a pregnancy-related condition?2 Attend this interactive event to learn more about the prolonged effects that racial health disparities pose on mothers and infants, and the ways in which we and other organizations in Bethlehem’s community can play a role in bridging the gap. This 5x10 accounts for a “collaborative connection” requirement. Attendance may be limited based upon University guidance.
We want this event to be accessible to everyone. If you have any requests, please email Kate at klp321@lehigh.edu.

Virtual Inclusion Insights - Part 2 | Human Resources
In this two session program, you will view and discuss eleven video insights presented by Steve Robbins, Ph.D.
In the various video clips, Steve will discuss stereotypes and unintentional intolerance. Steve also discusses how human nature and our brains don't always help us be inclusive, and what we can do to prevent this.
Inclusion Insights is part of our Cornerstones of Community track and is an expectation of all staff.
In order to fulfill Cornerstones of Community requirements, Parts 1 and 2 of the virtual version of this course must both be completed. Parts 1 and 2 must be taken in order.
