Community M-Room: Sustainability: La Lucha Del Pueblo/ The Fight of the People

Sustainability: La Lucha Del Pueblo/ The Fight of the People. The 21st Century Dilemma between Development and Degradation. A conversation around how free trade agreements and structural adjustments toward the privatization of vital resource extraction processes impact vulnerable communities especially indigenous nations in the Global South. This Virtual M-Room is intended to be a discussion around access to clean water, quality air, and preservation of biodiversity. The dialogue hopes to see if sustainable development is feasible by engaging with M-Room participants to undergo a feasibility study of this equilibrium that limits the adverse effects of displacement, environmental degradation, and exploitation of laborers.
