An Afternoon with Dr. Imani Perry

Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Center for Gender Equity, Africana Studies Program (NEH), and NOTATIONS present An Afternoon with Dr. Imani Perry Join us for a special afternoon with Dr. Imani Perry, who will discuss her book, South to America: A Journey Below the Mason Dixon to Understand the Soul of a Nation, gender, and race liberation. South to America won the 2022 National Book Award for Nonfiction. Dr. Perry is an American interdisciplinary scholar of race, law, literature, and African-American culture. She is currently the Hughes-Rogers Professor of African American Studies at Princeton University and a columnist for The Atlantic. The talk will be followed by a Q&A and book signing.

We are collecting new personal care items for the Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley through the end of March! This includes items such as: body lotions, soaps, hair brushes, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditionor, blanket, towels. All items must be new. Collections bins can be found in Christmas Sauocn, FML Lobby and STEPS Atrium.
