First-Generation Students and Alumni Inducted into Honor Society

On April 3, the inaugural induction of the Alpha Alpha Alpha Honor Society was held for 25 students, two alumni and eight faculty and staff here at Lehigh.  Also known as Tri-Alpha, the society honors first-generation students who proven to be high-achievers during their college career.  First generation students on campus are proud to recognize that status.  “They are doing something that no one else in their family has done,” says George White, managing director of the Center for Student Access and Success.  “And they’re doing it really well.  They’re not just surviving in college; these students are thriving in college.”  Read the full story here.
